Archive

Here in the Archive, you can find all of the stories, creative endeavors, and memories from A Curious Life, now arranged according to the following categories:
Creative expressions and memories from 1984 ~ 2023. When I was young, I could at any moment have been found acting, dancing, singing, playing an instrument, writing, drawing, painting … you name it. Then somehow, over time, I lost touch with these passions one by one ~ except for writing, which I did frequently, all the way through my capricious and often regrettable twenties.
In my thirties, my attention gravitated briefly back towards playing piano and singing, although I only ever played in empty rooms by myself. I also posed for my first set of boudoir photos and started sketching gifts for my loved ones. I took tango lessons for about a year, dove a bit into graphic design, and embraced decorating my home for the seasons. This gently dawning personal renaissance led me step by curious step to where I am today.
Artistic endeavors and defining moments from 2024 ~ now. Somewhere near my late thirties, I began to explore kink and BDSM as art forms. Soon, my quickening curiosity began to seize on how fashion, beauty, and magic can be understood as expressive artistry.
At forty, I started hanging around a local theatre. And then came the first sparks of my growing fascination with those archetypes of interdisciplinary, fashionable, and erotic artistry: the courtesans.
2027 & Beyond. Imaginative projects and adventures. Here, you’ll find early drafts from books I want to write, artists I envision collaborating with, or questions and ideas that I want to learn more about. Sometimes you might see travel plans I fantasize about or phases of life I’m preparing for … the future is a blank canvas. Over time ~ I hope! ~ some things from Tomorrow will shift into Today, and this section will become a repository of dreams slowly coming true.
A playful collection of wanton self-portraiture. I posed for my first purposeful “boudoir” photos in 2018 while creating a birthday gift for a lover, but I’ve been taking fun, flirty, and sometimes risqué photographs for decades. I’ll share fairly tame teasers of these collections with you here while occasionally offering racy or rare Special Edition prints as a gift, a prize, or for purchase.
A darker theatre of sensation and imagination. I’ve think I’ve secretly preferred kink to vanilla for about as long as I’ve known erotic pleasures. Only in the last few years, however, have I really embraced my kinks and delved into the culture around them, so much of what I share with you here will be recent, experimental, and raw.
I love the kinky world with its theatrics, rituals, roles, and storytelling. I love the way it makes me feel extraordinarily alive ~ sensations that translate as pain to others often feel exquisitely pleasurable to me. And so my journey into what once felt like dark and mysterious depths, uninitiated as I once was, has been delightful.
